Sen. Ossoff Working to Make Public School Classrooms Safer for Kids

Legislation would increase funding for internet access, facility repairs, renovations, and construction in schools across Georgia

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is working to make Georgia’s public school classrooms safer for our children.

“I’m working in the U.S. Senate to make classrooms safer for all of our kids across Georgia,” Sen. Ossoff said

Sen. Ossoff is co-sponsoring the Reopen and Rebuild America’s Schools Act of 2021 to provide funding for improvements to school internet networks, air and water quality, safety compliance, and more.

This is the latest step in Sen. Ossoff’s push to support Georgia public schools.

In November, President Biden signed into law legislation co-sponsored by Sen. Ossoff to make schools safer and more energy efficient.
