Sen. Ossoff Push to Boost Servicemember Pay Passes Congress with Bipartisan Support

Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff has secured a historic pay raise for Georgia’s servicemembers.

Following Sen. Ossoff’s push, this year’s national defense bill includes a 4.6% pay increase across the military, the highest in almost 20 years.

‘Military families are struggling with high costs, and our servicemembers and their families already make tremendous sacrifices,” Sen. Ossoff said. “This pay raise will help ensure that they have what they need to make ends meet take care of their families.

The provision passed as part of this year’s National Defense Authorization Actwhich is expected to be signed into law later this week.
