Sen. Ossoff Strengthening Resources for Small Business Owners in Hiawassee

Hiawassee, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering new resources to help small business owners in Hiawassee.

Sens. Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock are delivering a $93,047 grant through the USDA’s Rural Business Development Grant program to help Hiawassee develop a functional full-service business development center.

Funding will be used to furnish the center located in the Paris Business Center.

“I am pleased to help deliver these resources to expand opportunities for small business owners in North Georgia. Senator Warnock and I remain committed to supporting small business owners across the State of Georgia,” Sen. Ossoff said.

Sen. Ossoff continues to advocate for small businesses across Georgia and the strengthening of their access to the marketplace.

In November, Sen. Ossoff also delivered $749,896 through the Economic Development Administration (EDA) to Spelman College as part of the Center for Black Entrepreneurship Launch Incubator for Traction (CBE LIFT) project.

In July, Sen. Ossoff launched an inquiry with the Department of Labor (DOL) to reopen the Job Corps Atlanta site, which provided housing and tailored professional training to students seeking jobs in Georgia.
