Senators urge U.S. Postmaster General DeJoy to address immediately the unsatisfactory conditions at a post office in the heart of Greensboro.
Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock have launched an inquiry pushing United States Postal Service (USPS) Postmaster and Chief Executive Officer Louis DeJoy to address the unsatisfactory conditions at a United States Post Office building in Greensboro, Georgia.
Sens. Ossoff and Warnock requested USPS to review and inspect the property and respond with a plan to address the deficiencies at the building within 30 days.
“The building is located in the county seat of Greene County, Georgia and has become an eyesore and potential safety hazard in the downtown. We strongly request that the United States Postal Service (USPS) take immediate steps to remedy the situation,” the Senators wrote.
This is the latest step in Sen. Ossoff’s work to upgrade infrastructure across Georgia. In April, Sen. Ossoff launched an inquiry with USPS urging Postmaster General DeJoy to resolve a score of issues plaguing the United States Post Office in Lawrenceville.
