Sen. Ossoff Meets with Indian Ambassador to the U.S. Vinay Mohan Kwatra

Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff last month met with India’s new Ambassador to the United States Vinay Mohan Kwatra to strengthen the U.S.-India partnership and discuss Georgia’s priorities in the U.S.-India relationship.

During the meeting, Sen. Ossoff and Ambassador Kwatra focused on strengthening economic ties between Georgia and the U.S. and opportunities for the U.S. and India to collaborate on the world stage.

Georgia is home to a vibrant and growing Indian American community, and Sen. Ossoff continues to work closely with Indian community leaders to expand opportunity for all in Georgia and to strengthen U.S.-India ties.

“I appreciated last month’s productive discussion with Ambassador Kwatra,” Sen. Ossoff said. “India is a vital U.S. partner, and I remain committed to advancing our shared interests and strengthening ties between Georgia and India.”

Sen. Ossoff invited Ambassador Kwatra to visit Georgia in the near future to meet with Georgia businesses, public officials, and Indian American community leaders.
