Following Sen. Ossoff Push, U.S. House Passes Increased Funding for Community Health Centers

Washington, D.C. — Following U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff’s push, the U.S. House of Representatives voted last week to surge funding to community health centers in Georgia and nationwide.

Sen. Ossoff called for additional funding for community health centers in September.

“I will keep fighting to boost funding for Georgia’s clinics and community health centers because every Georgian deserves the best health care in the world and our medical teams need our full support, especially during this pandemic,” Sen. Ossoff said.

The Build Back Better Act will boost funding for clinics and community health centers affected by the pandemic.

Sen. Ossoff previously announced $143 million for Georgia community health centers to aid in recovery from the pandemic and allow the centers to continue to provide local communities with health care services and vaccine distribution.
