New study again shows Georgia is benefiting more than any state from Federal manufacturing incentives

Atlanta, Ga. — Federal manufacturing policies championed by U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff have created over 30,000 Georgia jobs, according to a new study.
According to the new study, since passage of the Inflation Reduction Act less than 2 years ago, the Federal manufacturing incentives Sen. Ossoff championed are benefiting Georgia more than any other state, creating over 30,000 Georgia jobs and attracting over $23.8 billion in private investment across the state.
Last month, Sen. Ossoff celebrated the start of production for Kia’s first American-made electric vehicle right here in Georgia, less than two years after passage of manufacturing policies he championed. A Kia representative confirmed in recent reporting by Inside EV that the company plans to ensure EV9s produced in Georgia qualify for incentives under the Inflation Reduction Act, which incentivizes domestic production of electric vehicles and advanced energy technologies.
Last spring, Sen. Ossoff announced LG Energy Solutions and Hyundai will jointly build a multi-billion dollar EV battery plant in the Peach State, fueled by the same manufacturing incentives.
Early last year, Qcells announced historic $2.5 billion investment in Georgia to create 2,500 new jobs, which Qcells said was made possible by solar manufacturing incentives Sen. Ossoff wrote into the Inflation Reduction Act.
