Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff will serve as Ranking Member of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction and Veterans Affairs in the 119th Congress to deliver for Georgia’s servicemembers, military families, and veterans.
With 13 defense installations across Georgia and a large population of veterans across the state, the Subcommittee positions Sen. Ossoff to fight for and deliver Federal funding for key Georgia projects impacting national security, military readiness, quality of life for servicemembers and military families, and health care for Georgia veterans.
The Subcommittee oversees the budgets for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), U.S. Department of Defense construction on military installations, military family housing expenses, and more.
“As Ranking Member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction and Veterans Affairs in the new Congress I will continue working across the aisle to deliver for Georgia,” Sen. Ossoff said. “From this key position, I will strengthen U.S. national security and fight for Georgia’s veterans, servicemembers, and their families.”
