Milledgeville, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering new resources to upgrade the Smith-Sibley Industrial Park in Milledgeville.
Sen. Ossoff is delivering new resources to upgrade the industrial park’s water infrastructure, key to the park’s continued growth. With expanded water and sewer infrastructure, the park will be equipped to attract new economic development projects and companies, creating more job opportunities for families.
Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver $1.1 million for the project through this year’s bipartisan government funding package.
“I remain focused on expanding economic opportunities for Georgia families in every corner of our state. Bringing Republicans and Democrats together, I’m delivering new resources to strengthen water infrastructure at the Smith-Sibley Industrial Park and attract further economic investment,” Sen. Ossoff said. “I thank Chairman John H. Westmoreland and the Baldwin County Commission for bringing this proposal to my office and for their leadership in the community.”
“We are so grateful to our esteemed U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff for focusing on Georgia’s infrastructure. At Baldwin County, we also focus on our infrastructure, but that backlog is so overwhelming we cannot replace our failing infrastructure without the federal government’s help. I believe this is a great use of federal funds and I appreciate the partnership that Baldwin County, Senator Ossoff and his staff have developed during his term,” said Chairman John H. Westmoreland, Baldwin County Board of Commissioners.
