Upgrades are expected to create 740 jobs and generate $300 million in private investment
Rincon, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering new water infrastructure upgrades to boost economic development in Effingham County.
Today, Sen. Ossoff is delivering $2.5 million to the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority to support construction of a new auto parts manufacturing facility in Rincon at the Grande View Industrial Park.
According to local estimates, the Federal investment will be matched with $4.4 million in local funds and is expected to create over 700 new jobs and generate $300 million in private investment.
“Senator Warnock and I continue to support Georgia’s economic development — today, with resources for water and sewer infrastructure at the Grande View Industrial Park. I thank President Biden, Vice President Harris, Secretary Raimondo, and Assistant Secretary Alejandra Castillo for their assistance,” Sen. Ossoff said.
“President Biden’s Investing in America agenda empowers communities – including those impacted by shifts in the energy sector – to grow and diversify their economies,” said Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo. “This EDA investment in critical infrastructure will strengthen Grande View Industrial Park’s role as an economic driver in the region and pave the way for decades of private investment and job creation.”
Sen. Ossoff continues working to expand Georgia’s manufacturing industry and boost job creation in Georgia.
Earlier this summer, Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock delivered infrastructure upgrades for Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon to expand the college’s nursing workforce development program.
