Sen. Ossoff Introduces Bipartisan Resolution Honoring the Contributions of the Latino Community in the United States

Sen. Ossoff honors the Latino Community of Georgia by introducing bipartisan resolution commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff joined Senators Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), John Cornyn (R-TX), and 43 of his Senate colleagues in introducing a Senate resolution honoring the contributions of the Latino community in the United States by continuing the annual celebration commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month.

“Unity and diversity are the essence of the American Dream, and that truth is what makes our Nation strong.” Sen. Ossoff said. “I am grateful every day for the extraordinary contributions of Georgia’s Hispanic community, and I work every day to be present in and of service to the Hispanic community.”

Hispanic Heritage Month is a reminder of the remarkable work of Hispanic and Latino Americans in Georgia committed to moving the state forward by standing on the frontlines of change and progress. It is also a time to embrace the cultural Hispanic traditions that bring all Americans together.

This bipartisan and bicameral resolution recognizes the immense contributions of Latino Americans to Georgia and the United States.

Sen. Ossoff continues to be a champion for the Latino community of Georgia in the United States Senate. This year, Sen. Ossoff has worked to ensure that Georgians encountering language barriers have access to affordable housing, passed bipartisan legislation to fund new mobile health clinics and rural health centers, and worked to bring almost 500 new jobs at the Q-Cells factory in Dalton.
