Washington D.C. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff issued the following statement on the Republic of Korea Presidential election:
“I congratulate the people of the Republic of Korea on a successful presidential election, demonstrating once again the power and responsibility people hold in a democracy.
“I wish President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol well as he transitions to enter office, and I look forward to working with him, his government, and the Republic of Korea to continue deepening the great friendship and bond between our two nations,” said Sen. Ossoff.
In November, Sen. Ossoff led a historic economic delegation to the Republic of Korea, where he met with key economic and government leaders, including President-elect Yoon, to foster economic and cultural ties between the two nations.
