New video highlights Sen. Ossoff’s work to fight pandemic and deliver economic relief to Georgians

Washington, D.C. – Today, Senator Jon Ossoff marked 100 days since his swearing-in to the U.S. Senate as Georgia’s senior Senator. In that short period, Senator Ossoff has delivered major victories across the Peach State.

Sen. Ossoff and Sen. Rev. Warnock of Georgia delivered historic January 5th victories without which the stimulus and COVID-fighting policies enacted since their election would not have been possible.

Since taking office on January 20, Sen. Ossoff has secured emergency pandemic economic relief for families and small businesses, ensured COVID vaccines are free and available for every adult in Georgia, and personally intervened to save 2,600 skilled jobs in Georgia while fighting on behalf of working families across the state.

“Our investments in vaccines and public health are beating back COVID, and the economic relief we have delivered has saved homes and businesses. The people of Georgia sent me to the Senate to beat this pandemic, deliver economic relief for families, and get to work on bold investments in infrastructure and clean energy,” said Sen. Ossoff“I am immensely proud of the progress we have made in just 100 days, and I am ready to build on that progress to help improve the lives of Georgians. Any Georgian needing assistance should reach out to my office for help. I am here to serve.”

Sen. Ossoff was instrumental in the passage of the historic American Rescue Plan, the most significant economic relief package for working- and middle-class families in American history that delivered billions of dollars in direct economic relief to Georgia families, small businesses, and local governments, and ensured every Georgian can get the COVID-19 vaccine free of charge.

Earlier this month, Sen. Ossoff helped broker a deal between Korean tech companies SK International and LG Energy Solutions to save 2,600 jobs in Georgia and boost the state’s clean energy economy.

Sen. Ossoff has also been a leader in the push for a historic infrastructure and clean energy package, pointing to the generational impact this investment can make in our country, as he and his colleagues continue to work on the legislation.

Sen. Ossoff’s legislative priority to repair dangerous lead pipes in public schools in Georgia and across the country is set to pass the Senate today as part of the bipartisan “Drinking Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Act,”securing $300 million to ensure children and families have safe, clean drinking water.
