Students & families must RSVP HERE by April 12
Marietta, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is encouraging Georgia students and families to RSVP for this year’s Georgia Service Academy Day on Saturday, April 27, at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta.
Sen. Ossoff and Georgia’s Congressional Delegation invite Georgia high school students and their families to learn more about the application and Congressional nomination process for the 5 U.S. Service Academies — U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Military Academy, and the U.S. Naval Academy.
Students and their families can find more information and sign-up for the event at https://www.ossoff.senate.gov/academyday. The deadline to RSVP for the event is Friday, April 12, 2024. No RSVPs will be accepted after this date.
“Academy Day at Dobbins Air Reserve Base is a unique opportunity for young people and families in Georgia to learn about the opportunities that are available to study at America’s military academies and to pursue careers as officers in the armed forces, Coast Guard, and the Merchant Marine,” Sen. Ossoff said in the PSA. “I encourage all interested young people and families with high school students who are considering careers in the military, come on out to Dobbins, hear directly from recent alumni, hear directly from military leaders. My goal is to make this process of considering and applying for the opportunity to study at a military academy as seamless and comfortable as possible for every interested Georgian.”
At Georgia Service Academy Day, students and families will have the opportunity to meet with:
- U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff
- Members of Georgia’s Congressional Delegation
- Georgia military leaders
- Admissions Counselors, Recruiters and current Cadets from all 5 service academies
- Representatives of the Air Force, Navy, and Army ROTC programs.
This event is open to the press and will require an RSVP. Media invitations and RSVP information will be sent closer to the event.
