Sen. Ossoff maintains frequent contact with Korean leaders

Washington, D.C. — This week, U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff met again with South Korea’s Ambassador to the United States, Cho Tae-yong.

Marking the 70th anniversary of the U.S.-ROK alliance, Sen. Ossoff and Ambassador Cho affirmed their shared commitments to further strengthening cooperation between the United States and the Republic of Korea in security, commerce, research, and culture.

Sen. Ossoff and Amb. Cho discussed the threat posed by North Korea’s nuclear program, global and regional security issues, and new opportunities to expand trade between the State of Georgia and the Republic of Korea.

Last summer, Sen. Ossoff hosted Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin for a bipartisan working breakfast in Washington, D.C.
