READOUT: Sen. Ossoff Speaks with Israeli President Isaac Herzog

This morning, U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff spoke with Israeli President Isaac Herzog about Hamas’ attack on Israel.

Speaking to President Herzog, Sen. Ossoff conveyed the outrage and grief of Georgians at the mass murder of Israeli civilians, and he affirmed that Americans stand with Israelis at this moment of tragedy.

Sen. Ossoff spoke with President Herzog from the United States Embassy in Beijing, where Sen. Ossoff was on a Bipartisan Senate National Security Delegation to Asia.

Sen. Ossoff has received regular briefings on the aftermath of the attacks from the U.S. Department of State and U.S. national security officials while in China. Sen. Ossoff and the Bipartisan Delegation will return earlier than planned to Washington, D.C. in light of world events.

Earlier in the day, Sen. Ossoff and the Delegation met with several Ambassadors from allied nations. Sen. Ossoff and his bipartisan colleagues conveyed to allied Ambassadors their support for the Israeli people and affirmed the importance of united condemnation of Hamas’ terrorism.
