Sen. Jon Ossoff’s Statement on Senate Passage of Historic COVID Relief Budget

Washington, D.C. — This morning, U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff released the following statement applauding the passage of the budget resolution that paves the way for approval of the COVID-19 relief bill — made possible by his and Sen. Raphael Warnock’s runoff victories one month ago today:

“This pandemic is the most severe crisis America has faced since the Great Depression. The historic COVID relief budget we passed before dawn today in the Senate is a giant step toward the swift delivery of massive investment in vaccine distribution, stimulus checks and tax rebates for Georgia families, and support for vital local services across Georgia like public education and public safety. Help is on the way, more vaccines are on the way, direct economic relief is on the way, and I encourage Georgians to contact me with any questions or requests for service. I am here to help you and your family.”
