New law will increase access to health care services in rural and underserved communities across Georgia
Sen. Ossoff successfully worked across the aisle to help more Georgia families access life-saving care
Washington, D.C. — This week, a bipartisan bill championed by U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff to help bring more mobile health clinics and rural health centers to Georgia was signed into law.
Following Sen. Ossoff’s successful work, the bipartisan MOBILE Heath Care Act will bring more mobile health clinics and rural health centers to Georgia to help families access vital health care services and increase access to life-saving care in rural and underserved communities.
The bipartisan bill creates flexibility for community health centers to establish mobile health options in communities across the state.
“We worked together as Democrats and Republicans to create more opportunities for Georgia families to access health care through mobile clinics coming soon to your community,” Sen. Ossoff said.
Sen. Ossoff has worked relentlessly to make health care more accessible for all Georgia families and continues to be a champion for communities with limited health care access.
Earlier this year, Sen. Ossoff secured $300 million to upgrade the Grady Health and Augusta University Health Systems, expanding health access for medically underserved families across the state of Georgia.
