BROADCAST QUALITY VIDEO: Sen. Ossoff on Scott Slade’s induction
Atlanta, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is recognizing WSB Radio’s Scott Slade with an Official U.S. Senate Commendation on his induction into the Georgia Association of Broadcasters’ Hall of Fame today.
Scott Slade began his storied career at WSB Radio in 1984 on an overnight music show. In 1991, he took over as host of “Atlanta’s Morning News,” becoming the longest-running host in the Atlanta market.
Last month, Slade announced he would step aside from daily hosting duties — ending his tremendous run — though Scott will remain involved at WSB.
“Scott Slade and Scott’s voice have been a mainstay of broadcast journalism in Georgia for decades,” Sen. Ossoff said. “We are all grateful to Scott Slade for his work informing the public, asking tough questions of leaders, and bringing a smile to our faces. Thank you, Scott.”
Tonight, Slade will formally be inducted into the Georgia Association of Broadcasters’ Hall of Fame.
