Ringgold, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is strengthening health care access in rural Georgia.
Today Sen. Ossoff announced he is delivering Federal funding toward the construction a new, state-of-the-art hospital in Ringgold, serving families in Catoosa, Walker, and Dade counties.
CHI Memorial Georgia is working to construct a brand new, state-of-the-art hospital in Ringgold, Georgia, and broke ground last month.
Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver $1,500,000 for the project through this year’s bipartisan government funding package, working alongside Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock.
“I am focused every day on strengthening health care in rural Georgia. Bringing Republicans and Democrats together, Senator Warnock and I are appropriating funds to help build a new hospital for families in Northwest Georgia,” Sen. Ossoff said. “I thank CHI Memorial Board Chair Marilyn Helms, Market CEO Janelle Reilly, and the whole team for bringing this proposal to my office and for their leadership in the community.”
“CHI Memorial is incredibly grateful for Sen. Ossoff’s steadfast support of our new Ringgold Hospital, including his successful efforts to secure $1,500,000 for the project in the recently enacted federal appropriations bill for Fiscal Year 2024.” said Janelle Reilly, CEO, CHI Memorial. “With construction in Ringgold now underway and doors at the smart hospital scheduled to open in 2025, this funding is a welcome investment in the health and wellbeing of Catoosa County, as well as neighboring Walker and Dade Counties. CHI Memorial’s new, state of the art, 64-bed hospital will play a transformative role in improving healthcare accessibility and quality for families in North Georgia. We are proud to partner with Sen. Ossoff to strengthen the health and wellbeing of this community.”
