Sen. Ossoff Fighting for Additional Funds for Georgia’s Rural Hospitals

Washington, D.C — Today, U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff urged the Department of Health and Humans Services (HHS) to allocate COVID relief funding to rural clinics and hospitals in Georgia and across the country.

In a letter addressed to U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra, Sen. Ossoff called for swift action to provide additional support for Georgia’s rural hospitals and clinics.

“I write today to urge the immediate provision of Provider Relief Funds to rural clinics and hospitals and other rural health care providers in Georgia and nationwide,” Sen. Ossoff wrote in his letter.

Sen. Ossoff has made it clear that fighting to support Georgia’s rural hospitals is one of his top priorities. He previously securedover $143 million for Georgia’s community health centers across the state through the American Rescue Plan.
