Sen. Ossoff Speaks with FEMA Administrator, Urges Georgians to Prepare

Atlanta, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff continues urging all Georgians to use caution and to finalize preparations now for Hurricane Helene, which is forecast soon to make landfall in Florida and move into Georgia.

Today, Sen. Ossoff spoke with FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell to urge that Federal emergency response resources be deployed swiftly and in coordination with state and local authorities.

Sen. Ossoff and Admin. Criswell discussed the vital importance of the public’s preparation, caution, and attention to emergency management and public safety authorities as the state braces for flooding and high winds.

Sen. Ossoff and Admin. Criswell agreed to speak again tomorrow regarding Georgia’s needs.
