Griffin, Ga. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering Federal resources to train more nurses across Georgia.
Today, Sen. Ossoff announced he is delivering Federal resources to nursing training programs across the state through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
Sen. Ossoff is delivering Federal resources to Central Georgia Technical College and Southern Crescent Technical College through HRSA’s Nurse Education Practice Quality and Retention Program to strengthen their acute and long-term care nursing education programs, helping reduce the dire shortage of nurses across Georgia.
“Georgia continues to face a critical nursing shortage. Bringing Republicans and Democrats together, I’m delivering these funds to expand nurse training programs across Georgia,” Sen. Ossoff said.

Sen. Ossoff continues to advocate for Georgia’s children and their access to critical medical care.
In May, Sen. Ossoff announced he delivered Federal funding to strengthen and expand LaGrange College’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program to serve more students. With the funding, LaGrange College plans to purchase updated equipment and renovate facilities to create a more immersive teaching environment and increase its overall capacity.
In March, Sen. Ossoff delivered $1,205,656 in Federal funding through the Children’s Hospital Graduate Medical Education (CHGME) program to help Egleston Children’s Hospital at Emory University train and retain more pediatric physicians.
Sen. Ossoff previously led a successful bipartisan, bicameral push alongside Congressman Barry Loudermilk (GA-11) to ensure the CHGME program received strong funding in Fiscal Year 2023.
