Sen. Ossoff’s Push to Protect Combat Readiness Training Center Passes Congress with Bipartisan Support

Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff secured bipartisan support in Congress to protect the Combat Readiness Training Center in Savannah.

Following his push against the Biden Administration’s plans to shut the CRTC down, Sen. Ossoff secured new protections in this year’s national defense bill to keep the CRTC open.

“I strongly opposed the Biden administration’s plans to downgrade or close the Combat Readiness Training Center, and I brought Republicans and Democrats together to protect it,” Sen. Ossoff said. “It is vital to our national defense, and it’s a very important military asset of the state of Georgia.”

The national defense bill is expected to be signed into law later this week.
