Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff (D-GA) and John Cornyn (R-TX) are leading a bipartisan push to upgrade barracks, daycare centers, and other facilities for military families in Georgia and across the nation.
Sen. Ossoff and a bipartisan group of Senators are working to secure new resources to fund repairs at military facilities across the U.S., helping improve the quality of life for servicemembers and their families.
“Unfortunately, too many service members live in decrepit barracks facilities, drop their children off at aging child development centers, and conduct vital readiness missions in deteriorating maintenance hangars, airfields, and range facilities,” the Senators wrote in their request.
Sen. Ossoff continues to fight for the health and safety of Georgia’s military families.
In June, Sen. Ossoff introduced bipartisan bills to help more military families access affordable housing and mental health services.
Prior to that, Sen. Ossoff led an eight-month-long bipartisan investigation into the mistreatment of military families who live in private base housing.
